April 21-25: The fourth BIOXHIT course took place with six teachers (Berry, Thibault, Cowtan, Emsley, Murshudov, Winn). The program included a remote datacollection run at the ESRF on Monday april 21. The remaining four days were dedicated to lectures and tutorials on the CCP4 structure determination pipeline. There were 31 registrated participants plus additional researchers from University of Oulu. April 16-18: Markus Alahuhta and Rik Wierenga attend the fourth annual BIOXHIT meeting as well as the meeting of the TID committee with representatives of each of the four TID centres in Hamburg. Lecture by Rik Wierenga: “The Oulu TID: training and teaching for setting up the structure determination pipeline.” January 28: A pipeline testrun was done at the ESRF. The usage of eHTPX was also tested. Much appreciated discussions with the ESRF-staff (Drs. Svensson and Thibault) were part of the follow-up on the next day after the datacollection run. Also present were representatives of the Poznan and Crete TID-centres. Four members of the Oulu TID-team participated (Meriläinen, Koski, Haapalainen, Haataja). 2007 November 29-30: Third Biocenter Oulu Workshop on Enzymes took place as a joint event. The programme can be seen in the archives. September 18: A brainstorming meeting on the use of eHTPX was held at the Department with Dr. Ian Berry (University of Oxford).
